Why Michael started Customers First
Customers First Insurance Group was founded in 2020 on a simple belief: good people deserve good insurance options. Michael Vereecke started the agency after years of watching responsible, loyal customers lose affordable rates for reasons that had little to do with the kind of clients they truly were.
Too often, good customers were penalized because an insurance company changed direction — one year a great fit, the next year priced out. Michael decided enough was enough, and Customers First was born: an independent agency free to shop the market and put the client's needs first.
From its start in Mount Clemens to its home in Chesterfield / New Baltimore, the mission hasn't changed — examine each client's unique risks and find the coverage they need, at a price they can afford.
